Linda J Nigh, CMA founded the practice in 1992 by providing financial accounting and taxation services to small businesses in the Milton area. To grow her client base in the early years, Linda would temporarily relocate to the Milton Mall during personal income tax season.
She continued to very successfully grow, operate, and serve the Town of Milton and surrounding areas for 17 years. In June of 2008, after a three year transitional period, Linda sold the practice to Warren Strutt, CMA.
Warren Strutt, CPA, CMA
Warren began to pursue accounting in high school. He was one of those students who knew his career path even before beginning his post-secondary education. Having graduated with his CMA designation in 1995, Warren spent the next 15 years in various industries serving in a variety of progressive management positions. This helped prepare him for the transition process which eventually led to the purchase of Linda’s practice. During tax season, you can usually find Warren at the office working the long hours that come with the territory, although he manages to sneak out regularly to train for a half marathon or the Ride to Conquer Cancer. Over the summer months you may run into him at a local golf course.
Kim Armstrong, CPA, CGA
Over the last 20 years, Kim has managed all aspects of accounting, finance, corporate tax, human resources, administration and legal functions of multiple related entities in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico. As Vice President of Finance, she had an opportunity to help grow the related companies successfully with the Executive team and be a part of all management activities, including external and internal audits, cash flow, budgeting, inventory valuation, corporate tax decisions, legal review and due diligence. Kim joined the practice in 2016.
Colleen Pikula, Certified Bookkeeper (CB)
Colleen joined the practice in 2007. With a background in advertising and client relations, she is a natural fit with the practice. Colleen is not only a bookkeeping specialist but also practices payroll management and Sage 50 training. Outside of the office you can usually find Colleen enjoying the outdoors… usually trying to coerce her husband off of the escarpment walls or various mountaintops around the world.
Teresa Ellis, Certified Bookkeeper (CB)
Teresa joined the practice in 2018 as a Certified Bookkeeper with an Accounting Specialist Certificate and Loss Prevention & Risk Management Diploma from Sheridan College. She is well versed in multiple accounting software and has her Quickbooks Online Advanced Certification. Teresa’s background includes over 25 years of Bookkeeping, Accounting, Payroll and Office Administration for small to mid sized companies, in a variety of industries.
Linda joined the practice in 2009 as a bookkeeper with a diploma in Accounting and Financial Management from Centennial College. Her background includes human resource, payroll and bookkeeping. A long time resident of Milton, she has been a wonderful addition to the team and is always more than happy to assist our clients in any bookkeeping, payroll, Sage 50, Quickbooks, HST, or administrative needs that you may have.
Jennifer joined us in early 2017 as a contractor during Tax Season. She liked it so much that she never left!In addition to experience in Public Accounting, Jennifer has been a bookkeeper for over 25 years. Most of those years as a Self Employed bookkeeper so she understands the trials and tribulations of owing and running your own business.Her bookkeeping experience spans almost every industry. With a healthy knowledge in Sage 50 and Quickbooks (desktop and cloud versions) , Jennifer is available for in house and “On Location” training sessions.
